She pressed herself against him and looked him in the eyes. “You are very light on your feet doctor, have you ever had dance lessons?” she smiled at him.
” Dance?” Suddenly some slow music turned on in the park and others decided to dance as well. ” You planned this out well, didn’t you?” asked John as he gave a charming smile at Connie. He then licked his lips and offered the girl his hand. ”Shall we?” he asked like a gentleman.
Connie took his hand with a smile. “Actually, I didn’t plan this.” she gave a small giggle and leaned her head on his chest. “This is so romantic John.”
John let out a happy sigh. ” Yes, yes it is romantic.” he smiled at he swayed his body to the music.
” Yes, in high school actually.” chuckled John. In his eyes Connie was a great dancer, actually. He was blown away.
Meanwhile, Sherlock was getting really deep into his mind palace. Everywhere, papers were fluttered about and he stood there gazing at the papers stuck on the wall. ”Where? Where to?” he asked himself. ” Also, what is Germaine’s connection to Moriarty. It doesn’t make sense!” he exclaimed.
Connie tilted her head but didn’t break eye contact. “My mother taught me how to dance when I was ten, she said to be a proper lady, it was one of the things I must learn.” she swayed her hips under his hand.
” Really? Wow, your mother really wanted you to be a proper lady, ey?” Connie smiled and nodded her head. ” Well, if anybody wants you to change don’t. Just be who you want to be, alright?” smiled John.
Connie looked into his eyes. “All my life I’ve been told who to be…Thank you.” She kissed him passionately.
John smiled and blushed. ” No…” he cleared his throat. ” No problem at all Connie.” he winked.
Back at 221 B. Baker Street, aside from paper being scattered about, books were being scattered about as well because Sherlock wanted to get even more knowledge about this dark creature. ” Aha! Here it is!” he exclaimed as he got hand of the book that they found in the library. Sherlock flipped through the pages, rapidly and re-read the chapter about Germaine. Once finished he put the book down. ” It’s still out there. The question is…when is it going to pounce…and who is its target?” he asked himself as he lay on the couch and steepled his fingers together.
Connie leaned her head on John’s shoulder and smiled.
“Hello Sherlock.” Germaine magically in her original form appeared in his apartment. She had her arms crossed, leaning on the door way that lead out of his apartment. (She got her ‘normal’ human form back from the devil. but she can turn into the creature when ever she likes.)
Sherlock took a deep breath and turned to face the creature, calmly. ” Germaine. You look different.” he remarked. ” What do you want and what are you scheming?” asked the detective as he put his hands behind his back with suspicion.
“Oh come on detective. That’s no fun!” she began to walk around the room, circling him. “If you really want to know. Why don’t you take a guess?” she gave him a small smile.
Sherlock simply stood still and looked straight ahead as the creature circled him, menacingly. ” Oh let me guess you probably want to take over mine or somebody else’s body to finish your revenge on Connie. Honestly, it was the past. Get over it.” he replied. ” Something just doesn’t fit. What does Moriarty have to do with your plan? Is he your little-helper or something?”
“Moriarty saw me transform in an alley way two years back. He saw how powerful I was and wants me to kill you.” she stopped in front of the detective. “I told him I would. Dice I knew that Connie would one say run into you, why not kill two birds with one stone?” she smiled.
Sherlock remained calm and clever. ” Why don’t you kill me right now? Or, why not just kill Connie?” he asked. ” Perhaps, you have some softness in your heart after all.” he smirked.
Germaine frowned. “I don’t want to kill anyone. I agreed to it when I first transformed, meaning I haven’t had a normal state of mind yet.” She fell quiet for a moment. “H-How could you expect me to forget about the past?! I had no one! And Connie took away the only person who ever cared about me!” Germaine didn’t dare to cry.
Sherlock remembered how John was strapped to a bomb and he thought he was going to lose his only friend. ” I guess that is a hard thing to forget…” remarked Sherlock with the memory playing in his head.
Germaine looked at him a little shocked. “…it is.” Germaine started to growl and look around fast. “She’s…she’s coming.” she smiled. “I-I don’t know if I can control it! …I-I change my mind! …There are other ways of solving things?! Tell me!” she starts to knock things over and clawing the walls.
” Tell you what?! Who’s coming? Connie?” asked Sherlock who got knocked to the ground. He started to crawl away and reach his pistol. ” What do you want me to tell you!?” he asked in a bit of a panic.
“Yes! Connie’s on her way!” she smelt the air. “Don’t shoot! I’ve changed my mind! I just want to talk to her!” she ran around the room. “Do you have rope?!” her eyes flickered from blue to red and back. “Please! Tie me down! The closer she gets the more out of control I’ll become! I can smell her blood!” her nails began to grow and her teeth became sharp.
” Tie her down? Are you blood out of your mind!?” yelled Sherlock. ” I won’t tie her or John up.” he glared at the creature with his bright eyes. ” Never in the world will I do that….”
Germaine stopped in her tracks and looked at him. “No..tie me up.” she whispered.
